Desiree Hazley is a classically trained violinist and a native to Los Angeles, California. As a professional freelancer, she has traveled the world and collaborated on many recordings, TV shows, tours, events, musicals, and band and orchestral performances.
She has performed for awards shows such as the 2018 MTV VMA’s with Panic! at the Disco & 2016 MTV Movie Awards with Halsey, 67th and 68th Primetime Emmy Awards' Governors Ball, and the 2015 Unforgettable Gala- Asian American Awards. Artists that Desiree has collaborated with include: AJ Mitchell, Alicia Keys, Andrea Bocelli, Andy Grammar, Ariana Grande, Brockhampton, Ceelo Green, Cyndi Lauper, Dave Stewart, David Foster, Eric Benet, Freedom Fry, Halsey, Kenny Loggins, Kat von D, Kygo, Louis the Child, Mac Miller, Morgxn, Panic! At the Disco, Pell, Postmodern Jukebox, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Richard Marx, Roy English, Shawn Mendes, Stevie Nicks, Yoshiki, and X-Japan. She has additionally recorded many compositions for Dreamworks, Disney, and Lionsgate Films and appeared on TV shows such as the last season of Fox Network's, Glee, NBC’s The Voice, ABC's The Bachelorette, and FX's The American Horror Story.
In 2018, she began touring with the rock band, Panic! at the Disco, and completed two six-week tours in North America & Canada and one month in Europe. In addition, her all female string quartet, Orchid Quartet, was invited to perform for a 15-city tour in China in November of 2018. Orchid Quartet was officially formed in 2016, but Desiree originally met her quartet mates on tour in 2014 when she had an amazing opportunity to go on a world tour of 10 countries with Japanese rockstar, Yoshiki. One of her favorite memories is performing with his rock band, X Japan, at Madison Square Gardens.
Furthermore, festivals that she has performed at include: Reading and Leads Festival (England), Coachella Music Festival (California), Sundance Film Festival (Utah), SXSW (Texas), Otakon (Maryland), Hello Kitty Con (California), and Montreal International Jazz Festival (Montreal).
Desiree received her B.M. in Violin Performance at Azusa Pacific University and additionally studied violin at California Institute of the Art
